END OF THE PALM SPRINGS TRIP

We hiked on the rugged Earl Henderson trail on our last day in Palm Springs and it was a great hike.  The trail head was at the edge of the community and we started at 10 a.m. and hiked for 2 hours.  The trail went up the mountainside in a series of switchbacks and gave us wonderful views of the valley.

The trail was steep and narrow in a few spots, but we were up for the challenge.

The return loop was along a dry wash which was very sandy and rather difficult to plow through.  A good workout for sure!!

We headed back to Surprise on Saturday and arrived back at “home” in the early afternoon.  All was well here, and it didn’t take long to get back into the routine.  We sure enjoyed the Palm Springs vacation.

Living Large Defined

After retiring from the BC Forest Service, selling their home in Kamloops and living at "no fixed address" for 10 months, Linda and Stuart bought a house in Grand Forks. They are now embracing life in this small community as well as Snowbirding south for the winter and are living "larger" than their dreams. This is Linda's blog of their adventures.
