HIKING

We’re taking a break from golf right now and have decided to replace it with hiking.  There are numerous trails around the area and we chose the White Tank Mountains Regional park as our first outing.  The mountains are to the west of us and it is about a 15 minute drive to the park entrance.

We parked at a trailhead and chose a couple of trails that intersect so that we could make a loop hike.

The loop was about 8 km through a variety of desert vegetation.  We crossed one small canyon and paralleled another deeper canyon.

The weather was perfect for hiking and we spent about 3 hours on the trails.

It sure felt good to get away from civilization where it is quiet and peaceful.  We are going on another hike today at a new area near a lake this time.

Living Large Defined

After retiring from the BC Forest Service, selling their home in Kamloops and living at "no fixed address" for 10 months, Linda and Stuart bought a house in Grand Forks. They are now embracing life in this small community as well as Snowbirding south for the winter and are living "larger" than their dreams. This is Linda's blog of their adventures.
