We’ve played 4 rounds of golf on 3 different golf courses, since
we arrived. Our first round was with a
friend on the Great Eagle golf course that weaves in and out of the properties
at Happy Trails. It is an okay course
for a starter round after not playing since early October.
Our next 2 rounds were at the Hillcrest golf course in
nearby Sun City West and it was a surprisingly challenging course. The greens were very large and the holes were
long.
Both times we were able to go out as a twosome which is
just fine for us. Lots of time to take
pictures and sometimes try an extra shot.
Last week, we played at Falcon golf course which is south
of here next to Luke Air Force Base. We
played the course a few years ago and not much has changed. The front 9 is narrow with some difficult
holes.
The back 9 is more open and forgiving for the errant shot
so we did score better. We had a very
slow round and had time for photos of the F35’s coming and going on the
adjacent runway.
Not sure where the next round will be, still searching.
