WONDERFUL TO BE HOME AGAIN

We’ve been home just over a week, but it seems like Arizona is a distant memory.  On April 1, we packed up the RV and moved it over to the storage lot early in the day and all went well.  We stored our golf cart and bikes in the shed on that lot along with our stairs.  Then we had to load up the truck with stuff to take home and that was quite a bit of work.  We had to rearrange several times to get everything in and even the back seat was full.  We expected the challenge as we were taking things home, to leave at home, that were a bit bulky.

Anyway, we drove as far as Las Vegas (Henderson) that first day.

We got an early start the second day.  We drove for 8 hours on I 15 to Pocatello, Idaho and we skirted around one nasty hailstorm.  Through Salt Lake City, we took the 215 Belt Route which has less traffic so it was a more pleasant drive.

The third driving day was 7.5 hours to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and the weather was good for the most part.  We hit a snow/hail storm near Deer Lodge, Montana that was a white out and slushy roads for about 5 minutes.  Glad that we have a truck with 4wd.

We were home by noon on April 4 and unpacked and mostly settled in by the end of that day.  All was well here, just like we left it.  The winter was cold and snowy here and some of the plants don’t look like they faired well.  My roses have some green stems, but I will have to trim them down severely.  Spring is late arriving so the trees and shrubs are just starting to bud out and the grass is getting greener.

Wonderful to be here.

  1. Hi,
May I ask you for a favor? As my blog has little traffic at present, I am trying to generate some more, because I use it to sell my company’s products. More visits will increase my blog’s “Google Images” ranking and visibility. I am asking you to visit my blog occasionally, even though it may not be of particular interest to you. Cordial thanks.

Living Large Defined

After retiring from the BC Forest Service, selling their home in Kamloops and living at "no fixed address" for 10 months, Linda and Stuart bought a house in Grand Forks. They are now embracing life in this small community as well as Snowbirding south for the winter and are living "larger" than their dreams. This is Linda's blog of their adventures.
