SOMETHING AMAZING HAPPENED

We just found out on Sunday that something amazing happened after the Second Saturday event that we participated in at the Phoenix Rescue Mission. We were working on the clean-up and repainting of the facility and the surrounding grounds. There was another group of volunteers working at long tables with a gazebo over top for some shade, and they were putting together bag lunches for the homeless. At the end of the event there was supposed to be an organization that was going to pick up the lunches and distribute them. Well, they didn’t show up.

We had all left except for the fellow that was coordinating the project so he loaded the 1000 bag lunches into his truck and wondered and prayed, “What do I do now?” The answer came to him as he pulled out of the parking lot prepared to turn toward home. The answer was, “No, turn in the other direction.” So, he did.

He drove just a few blocks down the road and came upon an organization that was doing an outreach talking to a large group of homeless people. He stopped and asked the organizers if they could use some bag lunches. They burst into tears saying that they had been praying for a way to feed the people that they were talking to.

It is amazing when God brings it all together.

Living Large Defined

After retiring from the BC Forest Service, selling their home in Kamloops and living at "no fixed address" for 10 months, Linda and Stuart bought a house in Grand Forks. They are now embracing life in this small community as well as Snowbirding south for the winter and are living "larger" than their dreams. This is Linda's blog of their adventures.
