WE’RE STILL HERE

There haven’t been many remarkable events in the past few weeks--we’re just living life like everyone else.  The weather in February turned cool again and we’ve had more rainy days this winter than ever.  Not long after Stuart cleans the outside of the RV windows, we get rain and they get all dirty and streaky.  It’s wonderful not having the RV under a covered roof, but it doesn’t stay nearly as clean.

We’ve seen a couple of popular movies in the past few weeks:  Lion and Hidden Figures and enjoyed them both.  There will be a few more coming out in March that we might see.  We sure love the $5 Tuesdays at the local theatre.

Our routine has settled into pickleball and billiards for Stuart while I go to the fitness room, the swimming pool and walking.  I’ve found a nice walkway between “our” golf course and the subdivision next door.

They have a section called Parcourse Fitcircuit with very simple workout stations spaced out along the pathway.

Stuart walks with me some of the time so don’t start thinking that we’re leading totally separate lives!!  I’m still being cautious with some activities and find that I still can’t stand in one place very long without my knee starting to hurt.  It will take more time.

Now that March is here, some folks are heading out and presumably back to where they live.  It’s only 4 weeks until we head out and we sure hope all the snow is gone by then.  We’ve arranged to park our RV on a covered lot for the summer and will have to move it and all our stuff on April 1 before heading out.  Not sure how long that will take but it is more convenient to store it here than at a storage facility.

So, that’s about all for now.  I will post again when something more exciting happens.

Living Large Defined

After retiring from the BC Forest Service, selling their home in Kamloops and living at "no fixed address" for 10 months, Linda and Stuart bought a house in Grand Forks. They are now embracing life in this small community as well as Snowbirding south for the winter and are living "larger" than their dreams. This is Linda's blog of their adventures.
