THE LAST HURRAH

We’ve made the most of the last couple of weeks by doing all the things that we really enjoy.  Stuart played lots of pickleball and I also played pickleball with a couple of new groups which was fun.  I had our last tap dance practice and then watched the old movie with my fellow dancers “Yankee Doodle Dandy” to see James Cagney tap dance.  He sure had some moves.

CACTUS IN BLOOM

We filled up on current movies by seeing “Death Wish”, “Tomb Raider” and “Ready Player One.”  We’d definitely recommend “Ready Player One.”

A PUZZLE WE DID

A friend of mine from way back in my UBC days was travelling through our area and we got together for a visit.  It was about 19 years since we’d last seen each other but connected well right away.  The four of us went out to lunch, then we showed them how to play pickleball.  We finished off the visit by making them a BBQ supper.  It was a great visit, lots of catching up and fun stories to share.

We attended a 7th annual block party recently and had a good time.  There was a band singing 50’s and 60’s music and plenty of food to share.  Here are some photos:

AND HERE IS THE BAND

Today we started packing things up and it is an enjoyable process.  We’ve done this many times and follow our list so things usually go well.

Tomorrow we harvest the rest of the oranges from our citrus tree.  They are blood oranges so the insides are very dark but they taste about the same as regular oranges.

We leave on Easter Sunday and will return on the same route that we took down here last fall with overnights at Tonopah, NV and Baker City, OR.  That’s puts us at home sometime on April 3.  Really starting to look forward to it!!

Living Large Defined

After retiring from the BC Forest Service, selling their home in Kamloops and living at "no fixed address" for 10 months, Linda and Stuart bought a house in Grand Forks. They are now embracing life in this small community as well as Snowbirding south for the winter and are living "larger" than their dreams. This is Linda's blog of their adventures.
