It’s been a great season for gardening this year and we are
in the midst of production.
LOTS OF TOMATOES
SWEET AND HOT PEPPERS
Even though
we only put in a few plants of each type of vegetable, some of them produce so
much that we can’t keep up with consuming them.
We give away as much as we can.
YELLOW ZUCCHINI
BUTTERNUT SQUASH
EGGPLANT
CUCUMBERS
Our plum tree has fruit this year for the first time and
even though it is a small crop, they should taste good.
And our peach tree (which was tagged as a
nectarine when we purchased it) has survived a couple of windstorms resulting
in broken branches, but is producing beautiful fruit.
We are enjoying our new deck and have been taking a break
from major projects. Golf has been our
number one recreation for the past while and we’ve been able to get out on the
course about twice a week.
Last week, we
took the boat out to Christina Lake for fishing and swimming. We each caught and released a small trout
which is better than not catching anything at all. And the swim was great with a water
temperature of 22.9 C.
Not too much else to report right now. The next big project will be staining sections
of fence when the weather gets a little cooler.
