CHRISTMAS IN YUMA

It’s only a few days until Christmas and we are on track with our preparations.  We will be wrapping our gifts to each other today and putting them under our little fibre optic Christmas tree.  We aren't going to purchase the turkey (or turkey parts) until Friday in case we have to thaw a large bird and then cut it into smaller sections.  A fresh turkey might be an option if we can get a small one.

The “common area” at our resort is nicely decorated, as well as many of the RV’s and homes.  We only have one string of red lights and red bells hung on the front hitch.  Here are some photos:

This week we plan to attend an evening Christmas play at Champion Church and then go to our church’s Christmas Eve service.  Last year we went out for Chinese food on Christmas Eve after the service and are planning to make that a tradition when we are down south.  Our church shares a parking lot with a Chinese restaurant—how convenient is that??

We’ve received Christmas cards from friends and family so we’re all set to relax and celebrate.  Merry Christmas to all of you.

Living Large Defined

After retiring from the BC Forest Service, selling their home in Kamloops and living at "no fixed address" for 10 months, Linda and Stuart bought a house in Grand Forks. They are now embracing life in this small community as well as Snowbirding south for the winter and are living "larger" than their dreams. This is Linda's blog of their adventures.
